In addition to our benchmarks, we hope to be able to give you a full breakdown of the six minutes of action EA delivered with the multiplayer demo of the Battlefield Hardline conference, but the bad news is that the entire presentation took shape in a running video caption. In an E3 that has been largely defined by the increasing confidence of developers with the new hardware available, it’s hard not to be disappointed with a sample that has been presented to us with a visual experience reminiscent of a title that came out last year, at a time when studios were trying to grasp the reins of new systems.īut let’s go to the analysis.

Probably the biggest criticism to be made of Hardline is that it is a full-price release that looks and feels quite similar to Battlefield 4, to the point that someone dropped that it could have been released as a DLC expansion for the game. Broadcasting it live to the world is one thing releasing the code directly to gamers here and there is quite another – it’s the ultimate mass reliever, only muddy for one thing: the PS4 beta doesn’t live up to what was said about it.
